“Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.” — Winston Churchill

Could your company use a boost in moral, efficiency, and productivity by building a healthier and stronger team unity?  What if I told you all of these measures could be accomplished simply by improving the health of your employees.  A study conducted by Washington Business Group on Health on the Cost Effects of Obesity in Corporate America states: Organizations lose more than 12 Billion dollars per year due to higher healthcare utilization rates, lowered productivity, increased absenteeism, and elevated health and disability insurance premiums.

Matt delivers an inspiring message that can motivate your staff to change their lifestyle which can lead to a better quality of life.  His personality has often been described as a ‘warrior spirit’ which derives from overcoming his challenging birth in June, 1976.  As a premature baby, Matt was born 2 months early and was diagnosed with Hyaline Membrane Disease.  Hyaline membrane is now commonly called respiratory distress syndrome (RDS).  RDS is caused by a deficiency of a molecule called surfactant and structural immaturity of the lungs typical in premature births.   This same disease claimed the life of Patrick Bouvier Kennedy, son of President John F Kennedy in 1963.  At the time, the New York Times reported that the only known treatment for a victim of Hyaline Membrane Disease was to monitor the infant’s blood chemistry and attempt to keep it near normal levels.  Patrick’s death sparked new public awareness that has resulted in a survival rate of over 90 percent of RDS patients due to advancement in medical technology.

In 1976, Matt was a patient in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Welborn Hospital in Evansville Indiana.  The NICU was an experimental area of the hospital designated to care for premature infants who suffered from  RDS.  As a survivor of RDS, Matt has been fighting his entire life for the gift of HEALTH that billions of people take for granted.  Growing up in Evansville, Matt has witnessed first-hand the effects obesity has on our country as Evansville is consistently ranked as one of Americas most Obese Cities.  Matt has dedicated his career to changing lives so every person has the ability to enjoy the same quality of life Matt has achieved.  Join in as Matt walks you through his journey of how he overcame his childhood illness, became the unified voice of the pizza industry, and inspired millions of people to get healthy one slice at a time!
